AutoStore announce the signing of a distributor agreement with LG CNS, South Korea. The distribution agreement names LG CNS to become a distributor for AutoStore in the Korean market effective immediately.
As of 1st of February, the new office will be fully operational with business development, material handling expertise, engineering, project management, installation/integration and service/support.

The agreement between Hatteland and EQT regarding the acquisition of AutoStore AS (earlier Jakob Hatteland Computer AS) was completed last week. It means that the transaction is fulfilled, and AutoStore AS is from now on a company owned by EQT.
EQT plan to invest strongly in further growth and development of AutoStore.
The EQT VII Fund (“EQT VII) has entered an agreement to acquire AutoStore (or “the Company”) from Jakob Hatteland Holding AS and other minority owners. AutoStore is a unique automated storage and retrieval system (“ASRS”) which uses robotics for collecting stored goods in a warehouse.

“The reasons why we have invested in AutoStore are many. But it is clear that greater efficiency, less pick fault and space saving is the most obvious. We also feel that we are building for the future. Only a half year ago we invested in three paternosters and four freight elevators. CLD Distribution will use the AutoStore system to store its goods more efficiently and use the limited space in its new warehouse as effectively as possible. A conventional warehouse system was not suitable, but with the AutoStore, CLD Distribution can support the strong growth it is currently experiencing with room for future growth as well. CLD will begin using the system at the end of this year.

Logistex have signed a distributor agreement with Norway’s Hatteland for the sale of AutoStore storage systems. The distribution agreement names Logistex as the official distributor of the automated warehouse system AutoStore in the UK market.
Italian luxury brand Gucci, part of French company leader in apparel and accessories Kering, has filed an order for a AutoStore in their new 10.000 m2 logistics facilities at Scandicci, Florence, Italy.
Swedol has ordered an expansion of their AutoStore. The investment will expand the storage capacity, improve productivity and increase flexibility in their inventory management.
A contract has been signed with Element Logic and includes an extension of the aluminium grid, robots and ports for picking and placing. The investment amounts to approximately SEK 11 million. Construction and installation will take place during spring and summer 2015.

ABB Switzerland and Swisslog will together install a new AutoStore warehouse system in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. The new system is to combine two existing warehouses for low-voltage systems and will go into operation in February 2015.
Swisslog has been awarded a major order for a new distribution center in Sweden by the Varner Group, a leading retailer of strong fashion brands in Scandinavia. The value of the order, which comprises innovative material handling solutions in addition to a system operation contract, amounts to approx. MCHF 55.

According to the website Brack’s first AutoStore system has already been filled to 80% of its capacity and the company is now looking to expand the storage capacity even further.

Hatteland announce the signing of a distributor agreement with Hörmann Logistik GmbH, Germany. The distribution agreement names Hörmann Logistik to become a franchised distributor for the automated warehouse concept AutoStore in the German market.
The deal includes an AutoStore system consisting of a storage Grid for 7,100 Bins, 10 Robots, as well as 4 Conveyor Ports. Once the system is fully operational it will be able to handle 300 Bins per hour. As is standard for all AutoStore systems, more robots can be brought on the grid and even more bins per hour can be handled in the future. This gives EHEIM the security that the warehouse system will keep pace with future sales.
The customer doubled their volumes; the normal old-fashioned reaction would be: double the volume, double the size, we have to move to another building, build a new building… we said we are not going to do that. Lalesse Europe handed over the very first AutoStore system in Benelux at the end of last month to the sports clothing manufacturer Patrick from Oudenaarde in Belgium. At the beginning of next year, Patrick will be using AutoStore fully for distribution to its sports shops throughout Europe. The system at Patrick comprises over 45,000 plastic bins in which 6,000 different clothing items and sports accessories will be placed.
